Asian: unthinkable

Why was it unthinkable that a sexual assault victim at Stanford might be Asian? What has it been like for survivors under that shroud of unthinkability? How has Chanel Miller’s coming forward moved us to consider the erasures and silencing of other Asian American women’s experiences of survivorhood? How and/or why have the #MeToo and other mainstreamed movements to end gender/sexual violence not provided a platform for, or spoken to, the experiences of Asian Americans?
